Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Research Administrator I to support investigators and staff through the entire grant and contract proposal submission process in Memphis. You will independently manage a diverse portfolio of sponsored awards while delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with keen eye for accuracy and organization.
• Knowledge of NIH, NSF, and private funding foundations; sponsor experience a plus.
• Innovative thinker capable of streamlining processes and improving outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of grants and sponsored programs (e.g., preparation and review of proposal documents including budget, monitoring of subawards, award lifecycle management) under some supervision.
• Read, interpret and apply federal and other sponsor guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with research teams and sponsor institutions to support in issue resolution.
• Assist in negotiating standard terms & conditions for basic non-industrial sponsored research agreements to ensure consistency with institutional policies.
• Provide support to develop, prepare, revise, and finalize project budgets and provide budget justifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and institution goals.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
