Job summary

Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. seeks a Grants Administrator to supervise pre-award activities, develop budgets, review proposals, and ensure sponsor guideline compliance.

This role supports the Nathan Kline Institute and coordinates with the Grants Manager on post-submission inquiries and progress reports. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field with at least 3 years in grants management, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; minimum 3 years' grants management or finance experience.
• Strong analytical, supervisory, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with sponsor portals for submission of grant and contract applications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-award activities and interpret sponsor guidelines.
• Prepare budgets and application materials for public and private sector agencies per NKI and sponsor policies.
• Verify certifications related to financial compliance, human subjects, hazardous materials, etc. at proposal time.
• Prepare proposals for internal approvals.
• Review final proposals for sponsor compliance.
• Assist Grants Manager with post-submission inquiries and RPPRs, no-cost extensions, and biosketch/documents; assist with subcontracts.
