Job summary

The University of Delaware's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources invites applications for Grants Analyst I in Newark, DE. Under the Manager, Grants Administration, you will manage pre-award activities for faculty and assist in developing competitive grant proposals and budgets.

You will coordinate with sponsors and subrecipients, ensure compliance with 2 CFR 200 and sponsor guidelines, and communicate across departments to support timely submissions and effective project funding.

Qualifications

• Pre-award administration experience and budget development for contracts and grants.
• Knowledge of 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance and sponsor requirements.
• Ability to interpret guidelines, manage complex budgets, and ensure compliance.
• Experience with grants.gov or sponsor databases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support of pre-award tasks and communicate with the PI.
• Review solicitation requirements and advise on budgets, match funds, and certifications.
• Create and review complex proposal information including budgets and documents.
• Coordinate with subrecipients and collaborators on required materials.
• Act as liaison between faculty and Research Office on proposal matters.
• Assist in developing competitive proposals and monitoring delegated authority proposals.
• Ensure accurate submission into PeopleSoft Grants, Cayuse, Research.gov and sponsor sites.
• Assist with subaward processing and other duties as assigned.
