Job summary

Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) invites applications for a Business Manager in the National Center for Infrastructure Transformation (NCIT). The role oversees the full lifecycle of grants (pre- and post-award), licensing/IP support, and university-systems coordination to advance NCIT’s mission.

Reporting to the NCIT Director, the Business Manager will supervise staff, manage budgets, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred for the role.
• Five years of related experience in business, accounting or personnel operations.
• Two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate funding opportunities and deadlines; submit proposals.
• Write and develop grant proposals; coordinate submittals with Research Office.
• Provide management and guidance for proposals, awards and sponsor guidelines.
• Perform training, policy planning, and program assessment activities.
• Coordinate technology transfer, licensing, and IP tasks.
• Administer programs and provide budgeting and monitoring support.
• Prepare and analyze data for reports and dashboards.
• Develop financial accounts and budget documents.
• Analyze internal processes and recommend policy changes.
