Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration or related field; 2+ years in public service or grant writing.
• Master’s degree or certifications in grant writing or project management preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience in grant writing with a proven track record is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience in project management, grant management, declared disasters, and/or public finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research government, corporate, foundation and private funding prospects to match Town priorities.
• Develop, write and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers and grant proposals.
• Generate high-quality proposals, narratives, applications and supporting documents.
• Coordinate preparation of grant applications and reports; assist in accounting for expenditures.
• Track deadlines, maintain files and reports; support financal oversight for reimbursements.
• Represent the Town to funding agencies and organizations; liaise with departments and consultants to ensure compliance.
• Meet regularly with departments to discuss funding needs and clarify allowability of expenditures.
