Job summary

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) is seeking a grants and finance specialist in Tallahassee to manage emergency program funds and grant tracking. You will prepare grant applications, monitor compliance, and generate quarterly reports, while updating the Grant Tracking System and supporting EOC activations as needed.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of project management and grant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State of Florida regulations related to fiscal operations.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access; able to prepare reports and analyze data.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
• Understanding of accounting procedures and Florida’s financial/budget systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compile, and submit grant applications and reports.
• Provide guidance on grant requirements and allowable expenditures.
• Monitor grant activities for compliance and performance.
• Prepare quarterly federal grant progress reports and modifications.
• Closeout grants and update the Grant Tracking System.
• Support Emergency Activation costs reporting and EOC tasks as needed.
