Job summary

Israel Policy Forum is a nonpartisan U.S. organization advancing policy ideas and educating leaders on U.S. engagement re the Israeli‑Palestinian conflict.

We seek a highly organized Grants Manager to support fundraising and prospect development, reporting to the Chief Growth and Organizational Strategy Officer. You will draft grant proposals, collaborate with program staff for metrics and budgets, and manage grant calendars in Salesforce, while researching foundations and preparing donor

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of grant writing or nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Jewish communal landscape in North America.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Draft letters of inquiry, grant proposals, renewal requests and reports for foundations.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather metrics, budgets and impact data.
  • Maintain a grants calendar in Salesforce and Todoist, tracking deliverables.
  • Research foundations and prospects; prepare briefing materials.
  • Prepare foundation updates and donor communications for stewardship.

Israel Policy Forum is a nonpartisan U.S. organization that advances policy ideas and educates community leaders to support effective U.S. engagement on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It is uniquely positioned in both the policy and Jewish communities, producing rigorous policy analysis trusted by U.S. decision-makers across the political spectrum. Israel Policy Forum seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Grants Manager to support the organization's institutional fundraising and prospect development efforts. Reporting to the Chief Growth and Organizational Strategy Officer, the Grants Manager identifies funding opportunities, develops grant proposals and reports, conducts prospect research, manages grant deadlines and deliverables, and supports foundation and donor stewardship.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, renewal requests, and reports for private, family, and institutional foundations
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather information, metrics, budgets, and impact data for fundraising materials
  • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar in Salesforce and Todoist, tracking deliverables and ensuring funder compliance
  • Conduct research on foundations and high-capacity individual prospects; prepare prospect profiles and briefing materials
  • Prepare foundation updates, impact summaries, stewardship reports, and donor communications
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and support prospect tracking and pipeline management
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, nonprofit development, or prospect research
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Experience working with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
  • Familiarity with the Jewish communal landscape in North America
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Salary:

$85,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience.

Note: New York and Washington, DC staff work in person one to three days per week.
