Job summary

The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Grants Manager (Public Service Administrator) to lead the Grants Management Unit. This manager will oversee fiscal staff, provide strategic budget guidance, develop and enforce grant management policies, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and serve as the department's primary liaison on grant compliance matters.

Responsibilities include overseeing the unit, guiding fiscal operations, and ensuring timely and compliant grant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting and fiscal management.
• At least three years in administrative accounting or fiscal management, with one year in grant management.
• Minimum two years' experience in grant management using standard grant processing software.
• At least two years developing and implementing policies and procedures for public or private entities.
• At least two years' experience with Excel and SAP or similar financial systems.

• Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in accounting or fiscal management with one year in grant management
• At least two years of experience conducting grant management including industry standard grant processing software
• At least two years of experience developing and implementing policies and procedures for a public or private entity
• At least two years of professional experience with Excel or related software and SAP or similar financial systems
