Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc. in Concord, NH is seeking a Grants Manager to anchor the financial administration of our grant-funded programs within a CC BCHC setting.

You’ll be analytical, proactive, and serve as the financial bridge between funders, Finance, and program leadership. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of government, foundation, and corporate grants, ensure Uniform Guidance compliance, build budget-to-actual analyses, forecast funding needs, and translate complex

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of grants financial management, nonprofit finance, or healthcare finance experience.
  • Experience with CCBHCs, FQHCs, or federally/state-funded programs.
  • Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full financial lifecycle of government, foundation, and corporate grants.
  • Serve as the primary Finance contact for all grants, review awards and budgets, monitor expenditures, and drive budget revisions.
  • Coordinate invoice submissions, drawdowns, and reimbursement requests; reconcile grant revenue and accounts receivable with GL reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance and funder rules; maintain audit-ready financial files and manage cost-sharing requirements.
  • Lead financial closeouts, support forecasting of long-term sustainability and program renewals.
  • Partner with clinical, quality, and data teams to align spending with approved scopes of work; translate financial guidelines into actionable insights for staff.
  • Build dynamic financial dashboards and analytics to improve internal controls and grant management workflows.

What You’ll Do

As our Grants Manager, you will oversee the full financial lifecycle of our government, foundation, and corporate grants. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Grant Financial Management: Serve as the primary Finance contact for all grants. Review awards and budgets, monitor expenditures against funding, build budget-to-actual variance analyses, and drive forecasting and budget revisions.
  • Revenue, Reimbursement & Reporting: Coordinate invoice submissions, drawdowns, and reimbursement requests. Reconcile grant revenue and accounts receivable and partner with Accounting to ensure accurate general ledger reporting.
  • Compliance & Audit Preparation: Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance and funder rules. Maintain pristine, audit-ready financial files, manage cost-sharing/matching requirements, and spearhead audit preparations.
  • Grant Closeout & Sustainability: Lead financial closeouts, resolve lingering commitments, and support executive leadership in forecasting long-term financial sustainability and program renewals.
  • CCBHC & Program Support: Partner with clinical, quality, and data teams to align spending with approved scopes of work. Translate dense financial compliance guidelines into clear, actionable insights for program staff.
  • Process Improvement & Analytics: Build dynamic financial dashboards, analyze spending trends, and pioneer improvements to internal controls and grant management workflows.

Who You Are:
  • Experience: Proven background in financial management, grant administration, and compliance (experience within healthcare, behavioral health, CCBHCs, FQHCs, or non-profit finance is strongly preferred).
  • Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with government funding regulations, including Uniform Guidance and federal/state grant reporting requirements.
  • Analytical Prowess: Exceptional budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation skills with a meticulous eye for financial variances and data integrity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to partner seamlessly with both financial professionals and clinical/program staff.
  • Organization & Drive: Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple competing deadlines across a diverse portfolio of awards.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field Preferred
  • Three to five (3–5) years of experience in grants financial management, nonprofit finance, government contracting, healthcare finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with CCBHCs, FQHCs, behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or other federally/state-funded programs.
  • Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
  • A combination of Education and experience is considered.
