Description

Chevo is hiring a Grants Management Specialist. This position will provide critical support in handling the grant workload for a federal grants management office. The candidate will support all stages of the grant life cycle, including but not limited to pre-award, award, and post award activities, transparency efforts, financial reporting, financial and data analysis and data validation, audit resolution and grant closeout procedures, in addition to unique projects. This position aids in the handling, processing, facilitation, creation, modification, publication, and dissemination of grant documentation according to internal standard operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports pre-award activities, including reviewing and screening grant applications, scheduling and supporting review panels, and preparing applicant correspondence
  • Performs financial and data analysis, data validation, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Supports award processing, including reviewing applications, generating award packages, and coordinating approvals
  • Formats and redacts sensitive information from applicant materials in accordance with transparency requirements
  • Reviews and analyzes post-award actions such as budgets and statements of work, and prepares grant modifications
  • Conducts audit resolution activities, including reviewing audit findings and preparing determination documentation within required timeframes
  • Manages grant closeout activities, including preparing closeout packages, reconciling financial records, and maintaining case files
  • Prepares reports, analyses, and completes special assignments with limited guidance
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Four plus (4+) years previous federal grants management experience.
  • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or relevant experience (4 years without a degree).
  • Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Candidate must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
Work Environment:

This is a key personnel position supporting a federal grants management contract. Work is performed onsite at designated federal office locations in Washington DC. Due to the sensitive nature of the work environment, candidates must be able to pass a federal background investigation.

SALARY RANGE: $70K - $90K (subject to change)
