Corner Alliance is a dynamic, growing consulting firm that devotes itself to providing an enriching employee experience while working in meaningful ways to create results for the government. We are currently seeking a Grant Program Specialist II with 6-10 years of experience required to join our team and fully embrace our commitment to deliver, grow and thrive.

About the Role:

As a Grant Program Specialist II supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to deliver substantive programmatic, technical assistance, and monitoring support across the contract task areas on behalf of the Federal client. This individual works directly with Federal staff and grant recipients — including underserved, rural, Tribal, and high-risk communities — to strengthen recipient capacity, support compliance with Federal grant requirements, and contribute to program reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement. The Program Specialist must be able to translate program objectives into practical, recipient-facing training, technical assistance, and monitoring activities, and to produce clear, accessible, high-quality written products.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Deliver and help coordinate training and technical assistance activities tailored to the needs of diverse grant recipients, including underserved, rural, Tribal, and high-risk communities.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including tracking, summarizing, and assessing grant recipient performance progress reports.
  • Assist with annual grant competition support activities, including application review coordination, technical support to reviewers, and related administrative tasks.
  • Support communications and outreach activities, including drafting recipient-facing materials, newsletters, and program updates consistent with plain-language and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Contribute subject-matter input to policy development and program guidance materials.
  • Identify recipient technical assistance needs and coordinate the appropriate response, escalating complex or specialized needs to Senior Technical Advisors as needed.
  • Prepare required program support deliverables, including lessons-learned reports, interview summaries, transcription reports, and project management/planning summaries and assessments.
  • Support innovation and technology initiatives and transition activities as directed by the Project Manager and COR.
  • Maintain awareness of and support compliance with Federal reporting, information security, privacy, and Section 508 accessibility requirements applicable to program deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with Federal staff, other contractor personnel, subcontractors, and grant recipients to ensure integrated, responsive delivery across task areas.
  • Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thrive.
Location:

You will work a hybrid schedule, with on-site presence at the client facilities in the Rockville, MD area as required.

Required Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, social work, public policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience supporting Federal discretionary/demonstration grant programs, grants management, program administration, or technical assistance delivery, including prior experience with a specific Federal discretionary/demonstration grant program such as Discretionary and Demonstration Programs (DCDDP), Community Economic Development (CED), Rural Community Development (RCD), Affordable Housing and Supportive Services Demonstration (AHSSD), Diaper Distribution Demonstration and Research Pilot (DDDRP), or Medical Legal Partnerships Plus (MLP+).
  • Working knowledge of federal grants management policy and regulations, including 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance), Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) requirements, and applicable program-specific statutory or regulatory guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse recipient populations, including low-income, rural, Tribal, or other historically underserved communities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, summaries, and recipient-facing materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deliverables in a deadline-driven Federal grants environment.
  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) determination.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation methods, data analytics, or grant competition/review processes.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 / ICT accessibility standards as applied to reports, training materials, and digital deliverables.
