Job description

The Post-Award Grant Management Specialist is responsible for the financial and administrative management of federal, state, and private grants after awards have been received. This role ensures compliance with sponsor requirements and institutional policies, provides timely reporting, and supports faculty and staff with the effective stewardship of awarded funds.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
  • Knowledge of and experience in obtaining grants/contracts from federal/state/private agencies.
  • Strong software and computer skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Uniform Guidance regulations and policies.
  • Research and data management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, database management, and spreadsheet skills required.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Experience working in a college or non-profit setting.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to research issues and propose solutions to problems required.
  • Familiarity non-federal grant and contract policies.
  • Ability to work with individuals across divisions and administrative offices under hard deadlines.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
