Job summary

The Ringling Museum of Art, a department of Florida State University, is seeking a Grants Coordinator to manage institutional grant activity in Sarasota. You will oversee end-to-end grant processing, prepare proposals, coordinate with Accounting and Sponsored Research Administration, and maintain grant reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, eSPEAR certification within 6 months, and strong writing and communication skills to engage foundations and corporations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or 5 years of combination of post-high-school education and experience.
• Successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of local, state and national grant opportunities; researches and tracks solicitations and deadlines; maintains the annual grants calendar.
• Prepares and submits letters of inquiry and intent, grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and acknowledgment letters.
• Maintains all grant reporting files, including government and foundation grants.
• Oversees end-to-end grant processing, including gathering required institutional data and routing submissions through RAMP or other systems.
• Collaborates with Ringling Accounting, Sponsored Research Administration, and other offices to monitor back-end/fiscal grant duties.
• Cultivates relationships with foundations and corporations to secure grant support and coordinates communications for grant-funded projects.
