Job summary

The Ringling Museum of Art, a department of Florida State University, seeks a grants coordinator in Sarasota, FL to manage end-to-end grant processing and reporting for museum projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or a combination of post-high-school education and experience equal to five years.
• Successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification or ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional business writing
• Robust interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
• Certified Grant Writer (CGW) or Grant Professional Certification (GPC)
• Advanced project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Experience with coordinating grant applications, awards, and reporting requirements
• Knowledge of grant compliance, regulations, and funding agency guidelines

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of local, state and national grant opportunities; researches and tracks solicitations and deadlines; maintains the annual grants calendar.
• Prepares and submits letters of inquiry and intent, grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and acknowledgment letters.
• Maintains all grant reporting files, including government and foundation grants.
• Oversees end-to-end grant processing, including gathering required institutional and project data, coordinating approvals, and routing submissions through RAMP or other required systems.
• Monitors back-end/fiscal grant responsibilities with Ringling Accounting and Sponsored Research Administration.
• Collects data and metrics for reporting and analysis per grant requirements; assists with monitoring expenditures.
• Cultivates relationships with foundations and corporations to secure grant funding.
