Job summary

The California Department of Social Services is seeking a Supervisor II (Limited-Term) to lead the Child Care Infrastructure Grant Section in Sacramento, with hybrid telework options. This 12-month limited-term role will oversee grants, contracts, data reporting, and program monitoring, ensuring equity and accountability across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate will manage complex programs, coordinate with state and federal partners, and drive data-driven decision making to support child care

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff and managing complex programs or projects.
• Experience overseeing contracts, grants, or large funding programs, incl. child care facilities, infrastructure, disaster-related work.
• Ability to manage high-volume, detail-driven work such as reporting, monitoring, or compliance with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Child Care Infrastructure Grant Section and related programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations, contracts, grants, and reporting.
• Monitor federal and state reporting and data analysis.
• Lead the Infrastructure Grant Program teams and Disaster Infrastructure Grant Program team.
• Assess contracts and grants to ensure equity and reduce errors.
