Job summary

Future Caucus is seeking a Development Manager to own the institutional grants lifecycle, lead grant writing, and align fundraising with organizational priorities. You will manage prospect research, proposals, reporting, renewal, and stewardship while building scalable systems for growth.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Growth & Impact and requires turning complex programs into compelling cases for support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a role with similar responsibilities, managing and securing multi-year, 6- to 7-figure grants
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills; ability to create donor-focused communications with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate cross-team input
• Proven ability to conduct independent donor research using Impala, iWave, or Guidestar
• Experience with EveryAction or similar donor-focused CRM

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day grant operations, including grants calendar and internal stakeholder coordination
• Lead the preparation, writing, and submission of high-quality grant proposals and reports
• Identify and cultivate new institutional funders through prospecting and market intelligence
• Support renewal and expansion of existing institutional funding relationships
• Partner with senior leadership on donor relationship management and multi-year opportunities
• Analyze the funding pipeline and trends to inform strategy
• Perform other related duties as needed
