Job summary

Valley Metro seeks an experienced coordinator to plan, implement, administer and evaluate assigned programs within the Communications and Strategic Initiatives Division. You will work with internal teams, external partners and the public to advance agency goals and initiatives.

The role offers growth in community outreach, marketing, and grant administration, with a starting salary at the entry level and a range based on skills, education and experience. Employment is contingent on grant funding.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of program planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
• Knowledge of community outreach, public engagement, marketing, communications and public information practices.
• Knowledge of stakeholder relationship management and customer service.
• Knowledge of event, meeting, workshop, training, and presentation coordination.
• Knowledge of research, data collection, analysis, reporting and recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of contract administration, grants, and compliance monitoring.
• Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate programs and activities promoting alternative transportation and other travel demand strategies.
• Support Travel Reduction Program requirements, including training, outreach and compliance activities.
• Coordinate employer and commuter education, events and related contracts; monitor participation and performance.
• Plan, develop and administer assigned programs, projects and services.
• Serve as liaison for internal departments, partners, contractors and the public; respond to inquiries.
• Develop and support outreach, marketing, communications, trainings, and meetings.
• Prepare, update and maintain program materials, reports, schedules, and records.
