Job summary

Israel Policy Forum seeks a highly organized Grants Manager to advance institutional fundraising and donor stewardship in New York. The GM will write grants, manage deadlines, and develop compelling materials for private, family, and institutional funders, collaborating across programs and finance to ensure accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes strong writing, research, and project-management skills, with a focus on pipeline development and donor cultivation to support IPF’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years in grant writing or nonprofit development.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience with donor and foundation prospect research.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; knowledge of North American Jewish landscape helpful.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Draft grant proposals, letters of inquiry, renewal requests and reports.
  • Collaborate with program staff to collect metrics, budgets and impact data.
  • Translate policy and leadership initiatives into persuasive narratives.
  • Maintain grant calendars, deadlines and stewardship activities.
  • Develop briefing materials and funding analyses for leadership.
  • Maintain records in Salesforce and other systems; support reporting needs.
  • Conduct prospect research and cultivate foundations and major donors.
