The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Development Specialist with fundraising experience to secure institutional gifts and manage a grants portfolio for programs, corps, and operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years’ work-related experience, or combination of training and experience will be considered.
Project coordination experience is important.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with leadership and corps officers on missional needs and planning.
Work closely with social services staff and corps officers when preparing projects for funding proposals.
Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results.
Maintain existing and grow additional government agency, corporate and foundation funding partners.
Assist with identifying and developing strategies to optimize the grants administration process.
Work with Contracts and Grants Compliance Manager to ensure grants are implemented according to operational and financial needs, as well as funding guidelines.
