Easterseals MORC is hiring for a Grants & Foundation Managerto help make a difference and become part of something bigger than yourself! This position will research, write, and submit proposals to secure grant funding for Easterseals MORC. A successful candidate will have the initiative to develop and nurture relationships across the agency, as well as experience in working with both internal and external stakeholders to produce successful proposals for funding and lasting collaboration.

Job Duties:

  • Proficient in writing and leading the state, federal and local grant opportunities with government agencies, foundations, corporations as directed, and specialty grants.
  • Research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources aligned with the organization's mission, current projects, and current and future priorities.
  • Collaborate with Easterseals MORC leadership to develop grant proposals showing clear outlines for project objectives, budgets, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Build deep and detailed knowledge of Easterseals MORC history, mission, successes, programming, services, outcomes, and financial landscape; partner with Chief Development Officer and key program leaders to maintain ongoing list of prioritized agency goals (and related services) to align to best-suited funding opportunities.
  • Gather all the appropriate internal data and external research for the purpose of preparing grants. Primary on preparing and submitting grant applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with grant guidelines.
  • Build comprehensive network of relationships across departments and program teams to stay abreast of trends, urgent needs, future dreams and to be able to access needed partnership and information for successful proposals, reports, site visits and relationship management with funders.
  • Lead thoughtful update of boilerplate language for Easterseals MORC proposals in partnership with program leaders, marketing and communications staff.
  • Partner with program grants team and finance to ensure for clarity and/or development of consideration, writing, and reporting structures that have overlap across teams or knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed calendar of application and reporting deadlines.
  • Partner with key program leaders to develop screening and consideration matrixfor funding opportunities.
  • Prepare and/or assure the preparation of high-quality grant proposals and reports for funders.
  • Work with the development team to ensure proper recording, acknowledgement and stewardship of awarded grants.
  • Maintain accuracy of donor tracking systems, while maintaining confidentiality of funder information.
  • Coordinate the collection of organizational data for inclusion in proposals, the annual Impact Report, and other collateral as needed.
  • Prepare post-award documents and forward them to relevant departments. Serve as a resource during award set up and project launch. Periodically review active grant grants for implementation progress and budget allocation. Support creation of needed reports or other documents requested by the funder.
  • Lead the Grants and Foundation Committee.
  • Establish consistent organizational processes for grant vetting, proposal preparation and submission, and stewardship.
