Job summary

Northwestern University in Evanston, IL seeks a Financial Coordinator to support the department's financial operations. You will handle post-award transactions, assist with graduate student and faculty appointments, and coordinate with The Graduate School and central offices on visas and appointments.

Responsibilities include journals, audits, and reporting, while ensuring policy compliance and accurate financial management across grants and accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1 year financial, budgeting and/or preparing account reconciliations or financial statements.
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting.
• Payroll experience is preferred and highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Creates daily, monthly and annual analysis and reports for area and grants.
• Supports journal entries, reports and statements and assists with audit work papers.
• Maintains financial models and performs transactions oversight.
• Processes grant/sub-contract payments and reconciliations as needed.
