Job summary

Brown University is seeking a Grants and Financial Specialist to independently manage grants administration, including financial oversight and post-award activities. The role collaborates with the Office of Sponsored Projects, PIs and sponsoring agencies, providing high-level pre- and post-award management and financial analysis.

The position is hybrid with three days in the office and requires flexibility to work outside regular hours to meet sponsor deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in research administration or accounting/financial/budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-award grants administration, with financial oversight for sponsored projects.
• Serve as liaison between administrative core, Office of Sponsored Projects, collaborators, sponsors and PIs.
• Analyze financial data and reconcile accounts; meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
