Job summary

Behavioral Health System Baltimore, Inc. (BHSB) seeks a Financial Auditor, Grants to review audit reports from sub-vendors and work with Contract, Programs, and Quality teams. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus 2+ years of auditing experience is required.

The role reports to the Director, Contracts and involves analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining confidentiality. Hybrid/onsite collaboration is expected in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, finance or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Financial Auditor.
• Knowledge of grants and regulations.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes sub-vendor financial audits with defined scope and objectives.
• Tests general ledger and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Identifies risks, evaluates internal controls, and documents findings.
• Communicates audit progress and results in status meetings and final reports.
