Job summary

Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, Inc. is seeking a Grants & Development Systems Coordinator to strengthen fundraising infrastructure for sustainable growth.

This 30-hour-per-week role partners with the Director of Development & Communications to organize grants, donor data, campaigns, and online giving tools, while improving systems for efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities

• Coordinate grant opportunities, deadlines, applications, reports, renewals, and funder records.
• Research funding opportunities and help draft proposals, reports, project summaries, and funder updates.
• Partner across departments to gather accurate program outcomes, financial information, photos, stories, and other grant materials.

As Grants & Development Systems Coordinator at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS), you’ll help strengthen the fundraising infrastructure that fuels our mission and supports sustainable growth.

This 30-hour-per-week role works with the Director of Development & Communications to keep grants, donor data, campaigns, online giving tools, and development workflows organized, accurate, and moving forward. What You’ll Do

• Coordinate grant opportunities, deadlines, applications, reports, renewals, and funder records.

What You’ll Bring

You’re an organized, dependable professional who can balance multiple deadlines without losing sight of the details. You bring strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills along with confidence using databases, spreadsheets, online forms, email platforms, document storage, and reporting tools. You’re curious about technology, comfortable learning new systems, collaborative across teams, and committed to accuracy and confidentiality.

An associate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Preferred, but not required: Two or more years of relevant nonprofit development, grant writing, fundraising operations, database coordination, or comparable experience; experience with donor CRMs and fundraising technology; grant experience; familiarity with nonprofit fundraising and stewardship; animal welfare or related mission experience; and/or Spanish-language skills.

Compensation is $23.38–$31.63 per hour, depending on experience, approximately $36,473–$49,343 annually at 30 hours per week.

Work Environment

This is a 30-hour-per-week, primarily on-site position in Wenatchee, Washington. Work takes place in an active animal shelter and may include exposure to animals, allergens, noise, and emotionally challenging situations. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for fundraising events, donor activities, or major deadlines. Candidates must pass a Washington State Patrol background check and any required pre-employment screening.
