Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Nonprofit Studies, Public Administration, Journalism, or related)
• 3–5 years grant writing experience with demonstrated success in securing funding
• Experience with fundraising databases and data entry, CRM proficiency

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with Sunshine Cottage’s mission
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and supporting materials
• Serve as technical writer for Development, ensuring clear narratives and reports
• Manage a comprehensive grants calendar with deadlines for submissions and renewals
• Maintain organized records of grants, funder history, and donor information in the CRM
• Collaborate with program, finance, and clinical teams to gather data for grant writing and reporting
• Analyze data to create impact reports and internal reporting tools
• Develop templates, dashboards, and tracking tools to streamline grants management
• Assist donor stewardship with acknowledgement letters and updates
• Ensure safety and efficiency during student drop-off/pick-up with policy communication
