Job summary

The Sobrato Family Foundation is seeking a detail‑oriented Grants Associate to support grant applications, compliance, reporting and disbursements in a fast‑paced nonprofit environment. You will maintain accurate electronic files, run Fluxx data, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure informed funding decisions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of nonprofit or grants experience, strong Excel reporting abilities, and a proactive, customer‑service mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, with at least 3 years relevant work experience.
• Ability to manage relationships and provide project management support across multiple teams.
• Non-profit experience a plus, but propensity toward philanthropy a must.
• Excellent Mac skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. Superior skills preparing Excel-based reports.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
• Task-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks independently, effectively managing shifting priorities and time-sensitive projects to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with grants processing and Fluxx grant management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grants Administration: support grant cycle reviews, monitoring reporting, and ensure disbursements are properly made.
• Assist in reviewing documents for grant approval to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide technical support to staff and grantees related to Fluxx.
• Compile data for grant evaluation and reporting, organize data from grantees and other sources.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between Fluxx and Yardi; report variances as needed.
• Support nonprofit center and finance teams with in-kind values and leasing processes.
• Prepare reports, presentations and documents with meticulous attention to detail.
• Program logistics for grant reviews, site visits, and unsolicited inquiries handling.
• Serve as frontline contact for grant applications; assist with eligibility requirements and reporting procedures.
