Job summary

University of New Orleans seeks a detail-oriented professional to develop, negotiate and manage contracts related to grants and sponsored projects. You will ensure compliance with policies and regulations at University, state and federal levels, including FAR clauses and IP considerations.

The role involves preparing award summaries, drafting subawards, and supporting policy implementation. Strong knowledge of contracts and ability to liaise with grant agencies is essential.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, or eight years of experience in a business or government setting.
• Thorough knowledge of rules and regulations governing grants, contracts and subawards at University, state, and federal level.
• Ability to work flexibly, independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated superior customer service orientation.
• Proficiency with PC-based tools including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and manage contracts related to grants and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, statutes, regulations and procedures.
• Review proposed agreements for compliance with University policy and regulations including FAR clauses, export controls, and IP considerations.
• Draft technical contract language covering IP rights, cost-sharing, fiscal and procedural constraints.
