The University of Virginia is seeking a Grants and Contracts Specialist in the Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging to support pre-award activities. This role offers a hybrid work option with remote work up to two days per week, with on-site work required during onboarding and training.

The incumbent will coordinate grant submissions, advise faculty on administrative requirements, develop budgets, and ensure sponsor and UVA compliance in a fast-paced environment in Charlottesville, VA.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with grants and contracts administration is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• CRA certification or similar is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and submit grants and contracts through the pre-award process.
• Advise faculty on administrative requirements in preparing proposal submissions.
• Prepare, coordinate and review budget and budget justification documents.
• Monitor compliance with agency and University regulations regarding submission and overhead rates.
• Work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators to develop and submit complex budgets.
• Coordinate with School of Medicine Grants and Contracts staff to review proposals.
• Work with faculty to process non-funded agreements for future funding.
• Maintain faculty SciENcv accounts and ensure biometrics are up to date and compliant.
• Review trainings, disclosures, and certifications to ensure current status prior to submission.
• Assist with department budget preparation by communicating funding probabilities of pending proposals.
• Other duties may be assigned.
