Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Grants and Contracts Officer responsible for maintaining frequent contact with researchers and project administrators across the university and with external for-profit funding sources. The role involves providing pre- and post-award support in developing, reviewing, and submitting grant and contract proposals to ensure compliance with UAB, state, federal, industry, or sponsor regulations. The position also entails extensive contract negotiations with funding sources.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in PC applications, databases, and data analysis. A team-oriented attitude is essential, and a legal background is a plus. Customer service skills are imperative.
Salary Range: $57,940 - $94,150
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Science, or a related field is required, along with five (5) years of related experience. Work experience may not substitute for the educational requirement.
