Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia's Sponsored Programs Administration seeks a Business Services Consultant II. This professional will issue and negotiate contracts with collaborators, and interface with departmental personnel, SPA staff, and the Controller's Office to coordinate audit requests.

You will stay current on laws and policies governing grants and contracts, apply these concepts to inquiries, and prepare management and summary reports to aid compliance and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with grants and contracts preferred.
• Certified Research Administrator or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue and negotiate contracts with collaborators.
• Interface with departmental personnel, SPA staff, and Controller's Office to coordinate audit requests.
• Maintain knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures for grants/contracts and apply to inquiries.
• Prepare management and summary reports for compliance and financial tracking.
• Handle sensitive contracts related to NDAs with external parties.
• Negotiate terms that are beneficial to the University and ensure policy compliance.
