Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or a field related to the position.
  • One year of professional level sponsored program experience
  • Verifiable experience with complex electronic databases and systems

Grants & Contracts Associate (Pre-Award Associate)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The main purpose of the position is to perform the
pre-award administration of externally funded grant and contracts. The
pre-award specialist is responsible for the submission of compliant
grant and contract proposals by providing technical assistance to
faculty and staff in all administrative aspects of pre-award functions,
including the identification of funding sources, proposal preparation
and proposal submission.
The pre-award specialist will engage in collaborative relationships with
colleagues in support of the Office of Sponsored Projects mission and
will work closely with investigators, departments, sponsored projects
staff, funding agency representatives, external consultants and other
entities to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

WORK LOCATION: Macomb Campus

APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible

MONTHLY WAGE: $4,311-$4,742 (Anticipated starting salary of $4,311)
