Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Grant Compliance Manager leads the grant life cycle from pre-award review through closeout; establishes and strengthens compliance infrastructure; advises executive and program leadership on grant risk, financial stewardship, and funder requirements; and ensures grant resources are maximized in alignment with award terms, organizational policies, applicable regulations, and donor intent. This position is an individual contributor and does not have any direct reports.

Schedule:

This is a full-time, exempt position. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. (Hybrid position requires 3-4 days in the office.)

What You'll Be Do Day-to-Day:
  • Grants Management: Provide strategic oversight of the organization’s grant compliance and post‑award administration. Lead the full grant lifecycle, including budgeting, award management, reporting, monitoring, modifications, and closeout. Monitor grant spending, reporting, documentation, and internal controls to support accountability and audit readiness. Oversee reimbursements, drawdowns, financial reports, and corrective actions; serve as a key liaison with funders, auditors, and external partners. Maintain grant records and management systems, and provide guidance and training to Finance, Development, program staff, and other stakeholders on grant requirements and compliance.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Maintain comprehensive grant portfolio oversight, including award amounts, performance periods, expenditures, receivables, reporting deadlines, modifications, and closeout status. Ensure timely and compliant use of grant funds, monitor financial performance and spending, and identify risks or required budget revisions. Partner with the CFO and organizational leaders to forecast spending, address compliance issues, and ensure accountability for grant deadlines, documentation, reporting, and deliverables. Serve as a key liaison with funders, government agencies, auditors, and external partners while promoting transparency and responsible stewardship of grant resources.

  • Advanced analytical, financial, organizational, and project‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and high‑stakes deadlines independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to advise senior leaders, facilitate cross‑functional decisions, and communicate effectively with funders, auditors, and government agencies.
