Job summary

Boston Public Health Commission seeks a Grant Specialist to oversee financial management and compliance for sponsored grants and contracts. You will review grants, manage audits, and ensure timely reporting in alignment with sponsor terms and BPHC policies.

Responsibilities include cost analyses, grant-related journal entries, and coordination with program staff to meet deliverables while maintaining payroll and cost-sharing compliance. Strong knowledge of 2 CFR 200 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field; 3 years federal grant management experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years in governmental grant accounting or a master's with post-award experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Uniform Grant Guidance (2 CFR 200) and related rules.
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains 2018 or ReQlogic requisitioning software is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems, pay attention to detail, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grant compliance and oversee financial management for assigned grants/contracts.
• Review grant setup requirements for accuracy and compliance; assist with audits.
• Review grant-related transactions and ensure expenditures align with awards.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports for various grant types.
• Ensure payroll, reimbursements, and cost-sharing comply with policies; assist with closeout.
