Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is seeking a Compliance Analyst to protect program funding by reviewing grant documentation, certifying client data, and ensuring billing aligns with reports.

The role is onsite in San Jose, requiring strong data accuracy, knowledge of grant rules, and the ability to work with program staff to close gaps before deadlines. You will collaborate with finance, program teams, and funders, prepare audit-ready files, and contribute to continuous improvement of data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, human services, business, or related field, or equivalent combination (4 years).
• Three years in grants compliance, program compliance, or grants monitoring in nonprofit or government setting.
• Working knowledge of federal grant compliance and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
• Experience reviewing eligibility and documentation files for audit readiness.
• Understanding of grant budgets and reimbursement documentation to ensure billing matches files.
• Experience with CaseWorthy or HMIS for data management.
• Strong spreadsheet skills, including reporting in Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Programmatic Compliance and File Review across seven grants, ensuring eligibility and documented services.
• Data Certification: verify CaseWorthy data, ensure required fields are populated.
• Time and Effort Certification: collect and reconcile monthly certifications with Paycom timecards.
• Reporting and Financial Documentation Support: assist funder reporting and audit files.
• Training and Monitoring: educate program staff on eligibility rules and data entry procedures.
