Job summary

The City of Pocatello is seeking a Grants Administrator/Compliance Analyst to oversee grant awards and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of accounting, and the ability to work with officials, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities include administering federal funds, processing complex funding, maintaining records, and supervising CDBG-related activities including loan programs and bid oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration, accounting or finance, or related field is required;
• At least two (2) years grant administration and/or loan-processing experience is preferred;
• Idaho driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers federal funds to ensure compliance with grant requirements and monitors spending by sub-recipients.
• Prepares and processes funding, draws, and manages contracts with sub-recipients and contractors.
• Maintains records and prepares required reports on grant compliance and performs on-site inspections as needed.
• Assists with CDBG programs including loan review and eligibility determination and serves as Loan Officer for the CDBG Renewal program.
• Conducts monitoring of subrecipients for eligibility and allowability under federal regs.
