Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Grants Administrator to support sponsored research by advising on project proposals with emphasis on budget development and review. The position reports to the Director of Sponsored Programs and requires a strong financial background and working knowledge of the external funding process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework or equivalent.
• Strong financial background and working knowledge of external funding processes.
• Experience with budgeting and grant budgets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review project proposals with emphasis on budget development.
• Negotiate grant budgets with sponsoring agencies within terms and conditions.
• Provide substantive professional advice on budget development and compliance for externally funded projects.
