Advocate Health is seeking a Finance Coordinator to support research study investigators and departmental administrators with grant budgeting and financial administration. You will prepare budgets for grant submissions, monitor expenditures, and produce regular reports to management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting with two years' grant accounting experience, strong computer and spreadsheet skills, and the ability to develop financial projections in a fast-paced

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting with two years' grant accounting experience.
• Ability to develop financial spreadsheets.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors expenditures on numerous large grants and departmental accounts.
• Prepares regular reports and analyses on the financial status of grant accounts.
• Establishes accurate financial projections by examining past and future expenditures.
• Reviews financial information with faculty investigators and/or departmental administrators.
• Assists with draft budgets for grant submissions.
• Acts as departmental liaison for grant/contract financial issues.
• May plan and direct work of clerical staff and may process bi-weekly payroll.
• Maintains financial databases and files.
• Participates in preparing the departmental budget or annual report.
• Processes personnel changes, payroll, accounts payable and other grant-related expenses.
• Performs other related duties.
