Job summary

University of Delaware is seeking a Grants Analyst II to manage pre‑award and post‑award administration for external funding within the Cooperative Extension unit of CANR. The role includes budget planning, fiscal reporting, and liaison work with the Research Office and sponsors to ensure compliant, accurate financials.

You will work under the Grants Administration Manager to monitor expenditures, prepare monthly reports, and support college‑wide sponsored programs reporting using UD systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and three years related experience; accounting/finance focus preferred.
  • Experience with federal grants administration.
  • Familiarity with grant processing stages from RFP to closeout.
  • Familiarity with UD systems: PeopleSoft, Research.gov, Cayuse is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth pre-award and post-award grant administration for external funding.
  • Collaborate with PI, Extension personnel and Research Office to manage sponsored funds.
  • Prepare and review budgets, budget justifications, and award documents.
  • Process journal vouchers, budget revisions, and labor allocation—LAM oversight.
  • Monitor monthly statements and report variances to leadership.
