SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Prospect, evaluate and monitor agency funding opportunities and fit, assist the Director of Contract and Grants, Grant Project Manager, Chief Development Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Vice Presidents (VPs), Compliance Team, Fiscal Team, and Program Team in meeting priority funding needs and opportunity windows. Develop and write compelling grant proposals in collaboration with agency partners and community partners. Develop proposal budgets in collaboration with fiscal and program staff. Participate in grant proposal and grant management processes as needed. Collaborate effectively with Grant Project Manager and Director of Contract and Grants. Communicate effectively and proactively with grants, compliance, program, fiscal and other agency staff. Requires daily decision-making, analysis, problem solving, and ongoing corporate task prioritization.

Compensation: salary is determined by total years of relevant experience (to be discussed upon interview)
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • *Engages in prospecting research and analysis of potential grant funding prospects on an ongoing basis to ensure the agency's operations, facilities, programs and services are funded.
  • *Participates in vetting process to ensure a good fit for stated funding specifications and requirements of opportunities through utilization of initial review and research on funder and priorities and giving patterns.
  • *Incorporates current knowledge about agency funding needs and priorities into prospecting and research processes.
  • *Collaborates with internal and external partners to best meet agency fundraising needs.
  • *In close collaboration with Programs, Compliance, and Fiscal Department, has a deep understanding of requests for proposals and funding opportunities for grants and effectively communicates information to inform preparedness for grant applications and awards.
  • *Collaborates with Director of Grants, Grant Project Manager, CDO, COO, Vice Presidents, Compliance Staff, Fiscal Staff, Data Team, and Program Directors as necessary to write grants, develop grant budgets, and utilize systems and processes to compile all necessary components into a compelling grant proposal for submission.
  • *Effectively utilizes and maintains data entry standards for the grant management databases and systems.
  • *Collaborates with other Grant team members as needed, assists with review of proposals, and assists with updating agency and support materials for grants and contracts.
  • *In collaboration with the Fiscal Department and programs, facilitates hand‑offs to Grant Project Manager.
  • *Maintains communication with post‑award manager for awareness of conditions that may impact renewal applications.
  • *Works with the Grant Team members and other collaborating departments to continuously improve systems to ensure timely completion and submission of required grant components.
  • *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • *Supports a Trauma‑Informed Care environment.
  • *Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • *Cooperates and collaborates with program staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • *Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors to the Agency.
  • *Creates, maintains, and shares as appropriate a dynamic self‑care plan.
  • *Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend‑raising efforts.
  • *Essential functions of this job to be performed on company physical work site unless otherwise agreed and documented.
  • *Performs other program related duties as assigned.
