Job summary

Heartland Family Service in Omaha, NE seeks a program coordinator for the Housing Sanctuary team, collaborating with law enforcement and DV/sexual assault program service teams. Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools and databases preferred.
  • Lived experience related to the population served valued but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision and support for all assigned program staff.
  • Assist with recruitment: posting openings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, checking references.
  • Hire, supervise, monitor, train, evaluate and develop direct care program staff.
  • Assist with service delivery and project implementation across the program.
  • Participate in agency quality improvement teams and guide project/policy implementations.
  • Attend weekly team meetings with Heartland Housing Sanctuary staff.
  • Attend community meetings coordinating survivor services.
  • Support training and outreach efforts for the program.
  • Develop program policies and monitor implementation and action plans.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for quality improvement and grants.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position works as part of the Heartland Housing Sanctuary team working in close collaboration with law enforcement and the domestic violence / sexual assault program service team. The program coordinator will directly oversee operations of the community-based advocacy and supportive housing programming to include outreach and training support, along with other crisis stabilization shelter duties. This position advocates on survivor’s/ programs behalf with all relevant government and non- governmental organizations. They will provide services designed to meet needs related to immediate safety, trauma recovery, and on-going support for survivors. This position agrees to rotating on-call shifts, locating coverage when necessary

Compensation: salary is based on total years of relevant experience.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), additional shift coverage as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide regular supervision and support for all assigned program staff.
  • *Assist with recruitment to include posting openings, screening applicants, scheduling *interviews, and checking references
  • *Hire, supervise monitor, train, evaluate and develop direct care program staff.
  • *Assist with service delivery and project implementation throughout the program.
  • *Participate in agency quality improvement teams and workgroups. Guides implementation of any projects, policies, etc.
  • *Participate in weekly team meetings with HFS program staff.
  • *Attend community meetings for the coordination of services for survivors
  • * Support the training and outreach efforts for the program.
  • *Develop program policies and procedures, monitor implementation of policies and procedures, and implement action plans as needed.
  • Completes all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for quality improvement and grant purposes.
  • *Assist the program coordinator for shelter with ensuring 24/7 coverage of crisis stabilization shelter
  • *Creates, maintains, and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • * Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • * Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site
  • *In town travel is required, including use of personal vehicle.
  • *Can work both independently, with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
  • *Able to establish regularity and dependability in scheduling all appointments and accuracy in reports and statistics.
