Heritage Health seeks a Grant & Contracts Manager to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals and reports aligning with funder guidelines. The role also handles day‑to‑day administration of the contract process for new and renewal contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or related field, or 5+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 4 years’ demonstrated experience in project management and budget development.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and edit grant proposals and negotiate agreements and contracts.
  • Experience working in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support submission and the pre-award process of grants and contracts.
  • Provide overview of applications/proposals to leaders.
  • Edit proposals, applications and contracts for completeness, grammar, formatting and spelling.
  • Assist with establishing and managing budget requirements.
  • Ensure that proposals and contracts conform to HH policies and procedures pertaining to payment terms, liability, publication, licensing and intellectual property rights and overhead.
  • Manage the submission of proposals and contracts in accordance with the policies, guidelines and deadlines of the relevant funding sponsor/vendor.
  • Act as a central point of contact to coordinate and provide proactive and ongoing support grants and contracts.
  • Manage post‑award administration responsibilities for grants/contracts/awards.
  • Understand HH policies and procedures as they relate to grants and contracts, financial management, procurement services and Human Resources.
  • Protect HH from reputational and financial risk by advising leadership of the implications and obligations implied by the grant/contract terms.
  • Ensure that required reporting is complete and submitted on time.
  • Ensure adherence to the terms and conditions of the award/contract and ensure all audit requirements are met.
  • Ensure accurate, consistent and efficient workflow to best support organizational need and grant requirements.

  • Promote grant opportunities to leadership.
  • Notify leadership of grants/contracts awarded.
  • Collaborate with the internal communications manager to prepare communications for staff.
  • Educate leadership and staff to the contract and grant processes as applicable.

Requirements
