THE SALVATION ARMY A GEORGIA CORP in Orlando, FL is seeking a grants and funding compliance professional. This full-time role identifies grant opportunities, prepares funding proposals for government, corporate, foundation and private prospects, and serves as primary contact for funders during reviews.

The position reviews contracts for compliance with laws and regulations, coordinates with Social Services and other DHQ departments, and maintains funder databases and compliance calendars.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Three years progressively responsible experience in contract administration and grant writing.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and submits applications to funding agencies including, but not limited to, City, County, State and Federal governments, local agencies, corporations, and foundations.
  • Reviews applications, contracts, and grants for compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Monitors and prepares grants for submission via TSAMM to Social Services, Property Management or other DHQ departments for review prior to submission by those departments to the Divisional Finance Board/Board of Trustees.
  • Serves as liaison between funders, Command, Division and Territorial Headquarters.
  • Investigates and provides information to Corps relative to licensure, standards for operations, etc. for funding programs.

Job Details

Job Location: FLA-Orlando Area Command - Orlando, FL 32804.Position Type: Full Time Regular.Salary Range: $62,546.00 - $70,366.00 Salary.Job Category: Grant & Funding Compliance.Schedule/Hours: M-F, 40 hours a week, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

This Position Is Responsible For

Identify potential grant opportunities via research of typical and atypical channels. Prepare funding proposals and applications for new government, corporate, foundations and private funding prospects, and submit on a timely basis. Serve as the Point of Contact for Q&A with funders during in-person or online application review meetings. Review contracts for compliance with applicable laws and regulations; prepare contracts for submission to Social Services, Property Management or other DHQ departments. Respond to inquiries from DHQ and DFB. Implement and maintain funding calendar activities including a schedule of compliance reporting and requirements. Activate necessary resources to provide information in support of compliance requirements. Maintain appropriate databases established by funders such as Council On Aging and the HFUW 211 website.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in research, interpreting and analyzing diverse data and possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.
  • Ability to integrate and interpret data from various sources and to plan, develop, and implement responsible strategies.
