Job summary

Lorain County Community College seeks a Grants Accounting Manager to oversee the fiscal integrity of grant and restricted accounts, serving as the subject matter expert on federal, state, and other grant requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising Grants Accounting staff, reviewing award agreements, ensuring timely and accurate transactions, and preparing budgets and FFATA/SEFA reports. Hybrid schedule after probation; strong Excel and ERP experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4–7 years accounting experience.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (test required) and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage grants accounting for federal, state, local, and private grants, contracts, and gifts.
• Supervise Grants Accounting staff and financial accounting and reporting activities.
• Review grant award agreements and ensure proper establishment of accounts.
• Prepare annual and periodic budgets, FFATA reports and SEFA; monitor cash management and grant regulations.
• Ensure compliance with grant regulations and support for audits.
