Job summary

The State of West Virginia, Division of Administrative Services, is seeking an Accountant/Auditor 3 to manage financial administration of assigned federal and state grants, including monthly review and authorization of fund distributions to sub-grantees.

The role requires strong governmental accounting knowledge, auditing standards, excellent organizational and communication skills, and strict confidentiality regarding sub-grantee grant data and PII.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 semester hours in accounting.
• Two years of professional accounting or auditing experience.
• Experience with governmental accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monthly review, validation, and authorization of fund distributions to sub-grantees.
• Collaborate with criminal justice program specialists to resolve issues or deficiencies.
• Backup for grant fund withdrawals and deposits.
