Job summary

The West Virginia Division of Administrative Services is seeking an Accountant/Auditor 2 to support state and federal grant administration. You will review and authorize fund distributions to sub-grantees and collaborate with program specialists to resolve issues.

Onboarding and training of new staff are also part of the role. Applicants should have strong accounting knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to work with confidential data.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 24 accounting hours plus related coursework.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google applications.
• Ability to manage confidential data and PII with discretion.
• Experience or familiarity with WV Oasis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monthly review, validation, and authorization of fund distributions to sub-grantees.
• Collaborate with criminal justice program specialists to resolve issues.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new accounting staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
