Job summary

Family First, a nonprofit focused on strengthening families through digital content and resources, seeks a grant writer to lead grant-seeking efforts. The role reports to the director of development and supports foundations, grants, planned giving, and the overall development team.

Responsibilities include researching grant opportunities, managing the submission process, maintaining templates, and delivering reporting on funded projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a nonprofit development program with demonstrated success in grant writing and planned giving management.
• Experience with a foundation research tool and a donor/contact management system (HubSpot and Candid preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.
• Remain informed on grant trends, best practices, and philanthropic developments.
• Create and maintain grant proposal templates and supporting documentation.
• Manage all aspects of the grant submission process and track outcomes.
• Provide tracking and reporting for granted funds and deliverables.
• Collaborate on donor campaigns and planned giving with leadership and vendors.
• Support campaigns to improve matching gift donations with development managers.
