Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit communications.
• Experience with nonprofit human services or Head Start.
• Experience with donor management software and federal grants.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and pursue federal, state, local, corporate, and foundation funding opportunities.
• Write, submit, and manage competitive grant proposals, renewals, amendments, and reports.
• Coordinate with leadership and program teams to obtain data and supporting documentation.
• Maintain the organizational grant calendar and ensure timely submissions.
• Monitor grant compliance and funding outcomes.
• Write newsletters, annual reports, press releases, donor communications, website content, sponsorship proposals, and campaign materials.
• Assist with social media platform management and digital marketing initiatives.
• Ensure brand consistency across all communications.
• Support fundraising campaigns and special events.
