Easterseals Midwest is seeking a Grant Writer to advance our fundraising mission by identifying funding opportunities, researching prospects, and producing compelling grant proposals and reports.
You will collaborate with the Development team to secure funding, manage grants, and communicate organizational impact. This role requires strong writing, research, and project management skills, plus willingness to travel regionally.

The Grant Writer supports the organization’s institutional fundraising efforts through identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals and reports, coordinating funder stewardship activities, and supporting the administration of the organization’s grants portfolio. This person will work on our Development team.
Education: A bachelor's degree, preferably in non-profit management, communications, marketing, social work, journalism or a similar field.
Experience: A minimum 2 years of experience in grant research, writing, and submission; nonprofit development; and project management. Experience using donor management, fundraising, or grant management software preferred. Knowledge of Kansas and Missouri philanthropic landscape preferred.
Other: Frequent local, regional and statewide travel is required, with occasional national travel. Must be able to attend early morning and evening meetings and events as necessary.
