Job summary

Universal Community Health Center (UCHC) is seeking a Grant Writer & Development Coordinator to advance fundraising efforts. This in-person role entails researching and writing grant proposals, supporting funding requests, and coordinating donor communication and stewardship.

You will track and manage awarded grants, ensure reporting compliance, and support campaign planning and donor engagement. The role may involve board-related activities and occasional events outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant experience in nonprofit or human services.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., English, Communications, Public Health) with at least two years of grant writing or fundraising experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal development and submission, including LOIs, narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
• Collaborate with development, program, communications, and finance teams to develop strong applications.
• Draft interim and final grant reports with finance and program staff in a timely manner.
• Maintain a library of common documents including IRS forms, staff bios, organizational backgrounders, and financial statements.
