Job summary

Gulf Copper LLC, based in Galveston, TX, seeks a Grant Manager/Director to lead a comprehensive grants portfolio, ensuring successful acquisition, administration, compliance, reporting, and closeout of funded programs. You will guide grant strategy, manage the grants team, and collaborate with program and finance departments while interfacing with funding agencies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of grant management experience, with strong writing and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 8–10 years of grant management, grant writing, or nonprofit development experience.
• Strong knowledge of grant compliance requirements and funding regulations.
• Experience obtaining US federal and Texas funding for large industrial projects.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience developing and managing grant budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s grant management strategy.
• Identify and evaluate grant funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
• Manage the full grant lifecycle from proposal development to closeout.
• Supervise grant staff and provide coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for competitive grant applications.
• Ensure compliance with grant regulations and organizational policies.
• Monitor grant budgets and financial performance with finance staff.
• Review and approve grant reports and required documentation.
• Establish systems for tracking deadlines, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Serve as the primary contact for funding agencies and external stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and boards.
